SECURITY SPIKES
The security spikes that we offer are available in 1.5m and you have the choice between small or large spikes. This is the ideal product for added protection to your residence or work premises. It is arguably a cost-effective method for deterring unwanted intruders.
These spikes are typically applied to the top of walls in order to prevent anyone from climbing over and entering the premises.

HILLALDAM HANGING SYSTEMS
We have a variety of Hillaldam Hanging Systems products available. These products are used for a variety of door systems such as sliding door systems, stacking door systems, and folding door systems. Typical fittings include wheels, guides, rails, top hangers, and the like.

GATE MOTORS
A gate motor is an electrical device that controls the motions of your gate. With the click of a button, or in some cases your mobile phone, you can open and close your gate, thereby saving time and energy.
Here at Metalman, we stock Centurion brand gate motors, models D5, D10, and D2. For industrial use, we recommend the D5 and D10 and for residential use, we recommend the D2 model.
One of the many benefits of using Centurion brand gate motors is that they include battery backups. This means that your gate can still operate fully during power outages and/or loadshedding.

WHEEL KITS
A good quality wheel kit set is a vital part of any good sliding gate installation. We stock a comprehensive range of wheel kits from 40mm up to heavy-duty 120mm sets, which can be added to the purchase of your tubing and steel requirements. After your gate has been fabricated the brackets can be attached to the frame and then brought in for galvanising. Once galvanised the wheels can be re-fitted to the brackets and you are ready to install.
We also stock a range of ready-made and galvanised sliding gate tracks to suit any gate installation

WELDING EQUIPMENT
Welding is the process of joining together metal by using high heating temperatures. At our hardware store, we stock everything you would require for this process such as welding safety equipment. This includes helmets, gloves, masks, and goggles, all of which are essential protective gear to wear when welding. We also stock welding equipment such as welding rods and even smaller portable welding machines. Although we do not necessarily provide welding as a service, if a customer is in need of a simple welding job, and they don’t have the facilities, we can provide them with this service should they enquire.

Well, this is where our one stop shop becomes a place of convenience.
Many DIY projects require processes such as grinding, sanding, and cutting of materials. Perhaps even screwing certain things together and so on. Therefore, at our hardware store, you will be able to find simple power tools such as hand drills, grinders, sanders, and the like.

PAINT & PRIMER
Here at Metalman, we aim to provide our customers with the ultimate one stop shop. Once you have purchased your steel products, and are waiting for them to be cut, you can also browse through our hardware store for any last-minute materials.
These include primers for your steel, paints should you wish to decorate the materials, as well as the necessary equipment for these final additions, i.e., paint brushes, turpentine, thinners, and the like. In cases where you are wanting to paint galvanised steel, it is important to note that this requires a specific process.
Galvanised steel cannot simply be painted because the paint will not stick well. Galvanised steel first needs to be chemically etched to allow the paint to bond to it. Ask our sales consultants about the products we carry to assist you with this process.

PALISADE FENCING
We stock a selection of palisade fencing that can be used for industrial and residential purposes. All pales are supplied with a straight-cut bottom; however, you have the option of three different designs for the top which are, the tri top, spear top, and larger tri top. We also offer fishtail bottoms upon request.
Our available sizes are listed in the chart below, however, we can also cut pales according to your specified measurements.
Palisade fencing is an effective method of security, and with our variety of designs, you can have effective and smart-looking security.
