WHAT WE OFFER
Below is a list of some of the steel products that we supply.
ROOF SHEETING – CORRUGATED AND IBR SHEETING
With the recent acquisition of two profiling mills, we manufacture both corrugated and IBR (Inverted Box Rib) Sheeting. Corrugated and IBR sheeting refers to metal sheeting that has had ridges rolled into it. The difference between corrugated and IBR sheeting is the shape, corrugated sheeting is the S Rib profile, whereas IBR sheeting is the square fluted profile. These can be made available in galvanised, zincal and some colour-coated variants, should you require it.
The typical applications include domestic and industrial cladding for roofs, carports, garden sheds, low-cost housing, and hoarding barriers for building sites. We carry a versatile range of coil stock, from budget friendly 0.25mm thick (Z40) galvanised sheeting, right up to the substantially more durable 0.53mm thick (AZ200) zincal and 0.80mm (C1S – colour one side) aluminium sheeting as this provides a much greater level of protection against corrosion, therefore allowing a longer lasting product along the coast.
Our in-house bending facilities also allow us to produce a variety of flashings, closures, ridges, gutters and cappings from these sheeting variants to suit your application. All your sheeting fastener requirements such as self-drilling screws for steel and timber, bonded washers and roof nails are available in our hardware store.
GALVANISED WASH LINE POLES
We manufacture galvanised wash line poles that are heavy duty and excellent quality, ideal for large-scale developments and personal home use. These products are manufactured and hot dipped at our premises, thereby providing protection against corrosion and overall, allowing for a longer lasting product.
We offer two options for our customers: T poles and revolving wash lines. Customers can enquire about these at our hardware store along with the line needed for these poles. In addition, we offer a delivery service depending on the location.
STRUCTURAL STEEL & TUBING SECTIONS
We carry an extensive range of structural sections which include flat and round bars, equal and unequal angles, IPE’s, channels, as well as universal beams and columns. Our tubing range includes round, square, and rectangular hollow tubing sections.
Additionally, we carry a variety of these products as hot-dipped galvanised stock, ready to be purchased and loaded. Our vast range of lip channels are also available in uncoated mild steel, hot-dipped galvanised (recommended for coastal conditions) and an economical pre-galvanised format for less exposed applications.
ALL STEEL ACCESSORIES
We stock a number of steel accessories which are typically used for steel products.
These products include door hinges and load body drop sides for trucks, heavy gates and heavy doors, nuts, bolts, and screws, all of which can be found at our hardware store.
COLORPLUS®
SHEETS, PLATES, PANELS AND MESH
Cold and hot-rolled mild steel sheets are kept in uncoated mild steel formats from 0.6mm to 10mm thickness and can be cut and bent for everyday fabrication applications from dropside doors and floor panels to braais, chimneys and ash pans. Our galvanised sheets range from 0.5mm to 3.0mm thick and are often used for fabricating box-guttering and a variety of cladding applications for sliding gates, doors, gas cage roofs, and the like.
A handy selection of flat or raised expanded mesh, chequer plate, rectagrid walkway flooring panels and our recently added range of welded wire mesh offers many options for a multitude of flooring and enclosure applications such as staircases, catwalks, water channels, gas cages and security screens.
